Last Autumn, I took a roadtrip up to Mammoth Lake and Yosemite National Park for a short 3 day vacation.

The autumn leaves, the crisp fall weather, the nature and wildlife blew my mind. This is my first time to Mammoth Lakes and my 2nd to Yosemite. I previously went to Yosemite on a tourbus (which sucked because of time limits for photo ops, etc)

Anyway, here are some of my favorite shots amidst the stunning flora and fauna found in the Sierra Mountains. The views are spectacular, and are probably some of the most picturesque in the world.

I cannot wait to visit again! (maybe in Winter)

Here are some of the places I highly recommend visiting in Mammoth Mountain in the Fall:

  1. Devils Postpile/ Rainbow Falls – 2 mile round trip flat hike
  2. Convict Lake – kayaking, picnic, scenery
  3. Mono Lake – South Tufa salt water formations, columns
  4. Minaret Vista – sunset views & star gazing at night

I hope you enjoy viewing these photos and can appreciate the beautiful wildlife found in mountains of California.
